Couldn't I just make my own notes with AI?+

You could, and AI is a great study companion — I'd actually encourage you to use it for quizzing yourself. The problem is that generic AI output isn't accountable to this exam: it doesn't know which of the hundreds of LOS actually earn marks, it will state a wrong formula with complete confidence, and every hour you spend prompting, fact-checking and formatting is an hour you didn't spend studying. These notes are already built, checked against every 2026 LOS, and carry judgment that only comes from sitting the exams — with a charterholder's name behind them. Use AI alongside them, not instead of them.

How is this different from the big prep providers?+

Most prep packages bundle video lectures and large question banks at $300–$1,500 USD. This is a different kind of tool: a complete, tightly-written reading system you can actually finish, built by one charterholder rather than a content team, at a fraction of that price. Do I still need the official CFA Institute curriculum?+
